Men have ruined going to university. Specifically, they’ve ruined studying art. And philosophy. And architecture. And law. And computer science. And any kind of science, really, as well as pretty much any other field you might care to name. They’ve ruined living on campus, certainly (and even just being on campus).
Of course, maybe programming, and higher education, aren’t your thing; maybe you’re more into some kind of music scene. Men were there first too, and they ruined it. Doesn’t seem to matter what genre, or what venue.
Men have ruined virtually every geek and internet subculture there is. They’ve ruined skepticism and atheism. They’ve ruined science fiction (holy shit have they ruined science fiction) and fantasy. They’ve ruined children’s TV shows. This isn’t just an internet thing–they’ve ruined going to meetups and conventions for these communities, too.
Men have ruined things as disparate as traveling, paid (and unpaid) employment, socialism, serving in the military, and blogging. They’ve ruined mass transit, they’ve ruined being in public places, and in fact just about anything you might do in a typical day, including walking down the fucking street.
And if you feel, now, after reading this, that urge to declare yourself “one of the good ones”, then you really, really, really fucking aren’t.
